19" Rack Mounted Environmental Dust Monitor, #180  (PM10, PM2.5 and PM1 in mg/m3)
19" Rack Mounted Environmental Dust Monitor, #190  (31 channel counts only)

Tech Specs

This spectrometer has been designed as stationary ambient dust monitor for the installation in a 19" rack for continuous, unattended automatic operation inside a shelter, container, building, etc. measuring continuously the outdoor dust mass concentration of PM10, PM2.5 and PM1. The spectrometer shows the airborne dust mass in µg/m3. The resolution of the mass calculation is 1 µg/m3 with a flow rate of 72 liters/hour.

This instrument uses many of the components as the ENVIRONcheck (Spectrometer #1.107 inside weatherproof housing, #1.165). However this system is not in outdoor weather protection housing and is not designed for minimum power consumption. Our main objective of this version was to reduce the maintenance to only an annual visit while assuring long and unattended operation.

They offer the following features:

  • Fully adapted for 19" rack mounted system

  • Integrated quick connector to sample pipe attachment

  • Integrated spectrometer 1.107

  • Automatic dehumidification system

  • Simultaneous PM10, PM2.5 and PM1 mass values (#180)

  • Simultaneous measurement of 31 channel sizes

  • Instant operation

  • Insensitive to vibration

  • No radioactive source

  • integrated sensors for T +rH + air pressure

  • Compact system

  • Remote operation

This instrument simultaneously reports PM10, PM2.5 and PM1 in mg/m3 or particle counts (determined by the instrument being used) at all times. It also continuously measures the outdoor temperature and humidity.

A complete 19" wide system, shown at the left, consists of the TSP sampling head on top of the pipe, the attached temperature and humidity sensor, and the dehumidification section, leading down to the upper 2" support rack.

Below the upper rack is the optical dust monitor rack that can be disconnected simply by releasing the lower section via the integrated lift from the upper 2" support rack. This makes the installation and maintenance simple and fast.

The picture below shows as typical installation of the entire system and the appropriate components.

All components, are integrated in the 19" housing. There is no need for any additional pumps, housing, etc. to operate the instrument.  The complete system can be set up, operated and observed from the front side - all items are easily accessible.   In addition, each has:

  • An integrated one-wire terminal (for extra sensors)

  • An on-line protocol or "Gesytec" call-off mode

  • The ability to store data up to one year on the data logger card. It is even possible to use the logger as terminal for other sensors.
